# Action list

> The Actions screen: one line per thing to do, grouped Do now, This week and Watch, each with Done, Snooze 1d and Dismiss, plus the crash-cap bar with the level you choose.

Source: https://investi.live/docs/app/actions

The action list puts everything the framework says to do on one screen, one line per action. Open it from the nav (**Actions**), press `g` then `l`, choose **Open the action list** in the command palette, or follow **Action list** from the **What needs attention** panel on Home.

Investi never places, changes or cancels an order. Every order line carries a **Schwab** link that opens Schwab's own order screen, where you make the change. See [Schwab links](#schwab-links). **Done**, **Snooze 1d** and **Dismiss** only mark a line inside Investi.

## One line per action

Each line is an icon, a verb, the symbol and the numbers, for example:

- `CANCEL BBB buy 50 @ 19.00 · -5.0%`: a working buy on a RED or FLAGGED name, with the limit's distance from the last price.
- `SELL MCD 300 @ 269.89 · +0.8%`: a working sell on a RED or FLAGGED name.
- `EARNINGS NRG Nov 9 · switch to GTC`: a GTC+EXT order on a name reporting in the earnings window. `(est.)` marks a vendor estimate the company has not confirmed.
- `EARNINGS COST Dec 10 · 3 held`: a name you hold that reports in the window.
- `OVER LIMIT Consumer discretionary 45.8% of equity · 25% max`: a cap or cluster line over its limit.
- `CRASH CAP 113% · choose a line`: the crash-cap ratio when it needs you.

The explanation is behind the arrow at the start of each line: the full sentence ("Change the buy 10 AAA at 100.00 from GTC+EXT to plain GTC before the Nov 6 report."), the account, the report date with confirmed or estimated, and the order's Schwab number. Verdict chips show the reason card on hover or tap. The page head's **How this works** drawer has the methodology.

**Distance** is (limit minus last) divided by last: negative means the limit sits under the market. The earnings window runs from today through today plus the **Earnings call-out (days)** threshold (7 days by default).

## Groups

Each group header shows its count. Which actions go where:

| Group | Actions |
| --- | --- |
| **Do now** | A buy on a RED or FLAGGED name (cancel it). A GTC+EXT order on a name reporting within 3 days. Any cap or cluster line over its limit. The crash cap over your chosen line, or over both lines when none is chosen. |
| **This week** | A sell on a RED or FLAGGED name (decide whether to exit sooner). A GTC+EXT order on a name reporting in 4 or more days. A held name reporting within 7 days. |
| **Watch** | A held name reporting later in the earnings window. The crash cap between the strict and loose lines when no line is chosen. |

Within a group, lines with a report date come first, soonest first. A group with nothing in it says so in one line.

Positions and orders at or under the probe size (1 share by default, see [Probe lots](/docs/strategy/rules#probe-lots)) never make a line. The page head says how many probes were skipped.

## Done, Snooze 1d, Dismiss

- **Done** marks the line handled. **Dismiss** says it does not apply. Both hide the line until something about it changes: the shares, the limit, the time in force, the verdict, the report date or the measured value. A replaced order (Schwab gives it a new order number) is a new line and shows.
- **Snooze 1d** hides the line until the next trading day: snoozed on a Friday, it is back on Monday; snoozed the day before Thanksgiving, it is back on the Friday after.
- **Undo** appears after each change and restores the line's state from before it.
- **Hidden** at the bottom lists every line you put away, with its state ("Snoozed to Mon, Nov 9") and **Restore**.

States are saved per line for your Investi account, so they hold across reloads, devices, the REST API and the MCP tools. Each line has a stable key built from its kind, account, symbol and order number (or report date, or limit line).

## Crash cap

Open buys plus margin debt, divided by equity, as a bar with the strict line (60%, survives roughly a 30% crash) and the loose line (75%, roughly 20%). The dashed part shows where the ratio lands once every open buy fills (cash pays first, the rest becomes margin debt; equity is unchanged at the fill price). Beside it: open buys, margin debt and equity in whole dollars.

**Hold the account to** sets which line the account is held to: **strict**, **loose** or **Not chosen**. It saves to your settings at once (`crashCapLevel` in `PUT /api/v1/settings`), and Portfolio, the weekly review, the REST API and the MCP tools all use it. With a level chosen, the ratio is **Within** at or under that line and **Over** above it; the line's sentence says how many dollars to cut or how much room is left. With no level chosen both lines grade it: under strict is Within, between the lines is Watch, over loose is Over.

## Schwab links

Every order row in the app (this screen, the [Portfolio](/docs/app/portfolio#working-orders) working orders and the **Orders** tab on a company page) has a **Schwab** link. It is a plain link that opens `https://client.schwab.com/app/trade/tom/#/trade/orderstatus`, Schwab's **Order Status** page (Trade, Order Status), in a new tab. Nothing is submitted.

Schwab's public client FAQ describes Order Status as the list of "all open orders and other recent order activity in the currently selected account", with a **Change** button on each open order. Schwab publishes no address for a single order, so Investi shows the order's own Schwab number (for example `#1004512345679`) in the line's details; find that row and press Change. Hover the link to see which account the order is in, since the page shows one account at a time. If you are signed out, schwab.com asks you to log in first. Orders you recorded by hand and sample orders have no Schwab number.

On Schwab, **Change** edits price, quantity and conditions. If the timing cannot be changed there, cancel the order and enter it again as GTC.

## API and MCP

The same object is available as `GET /api/v1/actions` (scope `portfolio:read`, see [REST API](/docs/integrations/rest-api#portfolio)) and as the `get_action_list` tool for Claude (see [MCP](/docs/integrations/mcp#get_action_list)). `items` lists every line with its `key`, `group` (`now`, `week`, `watch`), `verb`, `symbol`, `text`, `detail` and `state` (`done`, `snoozed` or `dismissed` when hidden, `null` when showing); `counts` has the showing count per group and how many are hidden. The section arrays (`switchToGtc`, `ordersOnRedOrFlagged`, `heldReporting`, `breaches`), `openItems` and `summary` leave hidden lines out.

`POST /api/v1/actions/{key}/state` with `{ "state": "done" | "snoozed" | "dismissed" | "open" | "undo" }` (scope `workspace:write`) changes one line, exactly like the buttons.
