# Open orders

> The Open orders screen: every working order across accounts with distance to fill, session, verdict, earnings, ex-dividend, analyst targets and flags, plus open buys and sells and the crash-cap ratio.

Source: https://investi.live/docs/app/orders

Open orders lists every working order across your accounts. Open it from the nav (**Orders**), press `g` then `o`, or choose **Go to Orders** in the command palette. The same rows are at `GET /api/v1/orders` (add `include=flags, research` for every field below).

Filled, canceled, replaced, expired and rejected orders never appear (a replaced order arrives from Schwab as canceled; its replacement is its own order). Investi never places, changes or cancels an order.

## Top strip

- **Open buys** and **Open sells**: shares still working times the limit, with the order count. Probe orders are left out, as in the crash cap.
- **Crash-cap ratio**: (open buys + margin debt) / equity, as a bar with the 60% and 75% lines. The line you chose on the [Action list](/docs/app/actions#crash-cap) is drawn solid and decides the color; the dashed part shows where the ratio lands if every open buy fills. It is the same figure as the Action list.

## Verdict and flag chips

The **Verdict** chips count orders by the name's current verdict; click one (or several) to filter the table, click again to clear. The **Flags** chips count orders carrying each flag and filter to them.

## Flags

Each flag is an icon in the **Flags** column; hover it for the reason. Flags are never set on a probe order (1 share by default), even one that is old or far from its limit.

| Flag | When |
| --- | --- |
| Earnings | The name reports within 10 trading days and the order is GTC+EXT (works in extended hours, where an earnings gap can fill it) |
| Verdict | The verdict now differs from the one in force when the order was entered (your own verdict counts only if it was set by then) |
| Stale | The order has been open more than 60 days |
| Far | The price is more than 15% from the limit |
| Duplicate | More than one working order on the same symbol, side and price, across accounts (a ladder at different prices is not a duplicate) |

## The table

It opens sorted by **Order $**, largest first. Every column sorts and filters, and the view lives in the URL. **Group** offers none, Verdict, Sector, Account and Side.

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Symbol, Account, Side | The order |
| Shares | Shares still working |
| Limit, Price | The limit (or stop) and the last price |
| To fill | The limit relative to the price: a buy at -4% fills if the price drops 4% |
| Order $ | Shares still working times the limit (footer total) |
| Session | GTC, GTC+EXT, Day or Other |
| Age | Days since the order was entered |
| Verdict, Verdict date | The live verdict chip with its reason card, and when it was reached |
| Earnings, Days to earn. | Next report date and calendar days to it (hover for trading days) |
| Ex-div | Ex-dividend date from nasdaq.com |
| 52W low, Above low | The 52-week low and the price's distance above it |
| Target avg, Upside | Analyst consensus target from nasdaq.com (Zacks) and the upside to it |
| Sector | The instrument's sector |
| Flags | The flag icons; sorts and filters by how many |

A field with no source shows **n/a** with an (i) saying why. Probe orders are listed dimmed with a **probe** tag.
