Investi documentation
How Investi works, from importing your trade history to the strategy rules, every screen, the Claude MCP server and the REST API.
Investi is a read-only research workspace for your own equities investing. It reconstructs your trade history into a ledger, scores companies against a versioned set of rules, and shows the same numbers everywhere: the web app, Claude, the REST API, the Chrome extension and the desktop app. It never places, changes or cancels an order.
Start here#
- What Investi is: what it does, what it deliberately does not do, and why the data is delayed.
- Create an account, then import your history or connect Schwab.
- No data yet? Load the sample portfolio and explore every screen.
How the numbers work#
- Canonical numbers: one calculation on the server, read by every surface.
- The ledger: FIFO, LIFO and HIFO lot matching, round trips, fees, splits and unknown basis.
- Verdicts and policy and the live strategy rules, with every threshold read from the code.
- Data sources and coverage: where each number comes from and what is never shown.
Using the app#
One page per screen: Home, Discover, Portfolio, Research, History, Analytics, Calendar, Markets, Notebook and Settings.
For developers and agents#
- Claude MCP server: connect Claude in three steps, with every tool and its input schema.
- REST API: personal access tokens and every endpoint. The machine-readable spec is at
/api/v1/openapi.json. - Docs for AI agents:
/llms.txt,/llms-full.txt, and any page as Markdown by adding.mdto its URL. - Chrome extension and desktop app.
Help#
Security and privacy, the FAQ and the changelog.
Note: Investi is research output from your own rules and public data. It is not investment advice. Market data comes from public sources and is delayed about 15 minutes.
