Sold today

The Sold today screen: every sale on a trading day from your Schwab transactions, against that day's close, with each fill, totals and a day picker for any past day.

On this page

Sold today lists what you sold on one New York trading day, one row per symbol and account, built from your Schwab transactions (API sync) and imported Schwab or broker CSVs. It never reads the order list or a position snapshot to decide what sold. Investi only reads from Schwab; nothing on this screen trades.

Open it from the nav (under More on narrower screens), the command palette, or press g then s. Every number comes from the same function as GET /api/v1/sold and the MCP tool get_sold_on.

Choosing a day#

The header shows the day and a date picker. The arrows step to the previous and next trading day, skipping weekends and NYSE holidays; Today comes back to today. The day lives in the URL (/sold?date=2026-11-04), so any day can be bookmarked or shared with yourself. Today has no date key.

A weekend or a market holiday says No session instead of showing an empty table. A future date shows a warning and today's sales.

Figures#

Four large figures sit above the table: Proceeds (with the shares sold), Realized (over rows with a known cost basis; the line under it says how many rows have one when some do not), Left on table and Symbols sold (with how many are now flat).

Before the 4:00 PM close (1:00 PM on early-close days), the header reads Close is live until 4:00 PM ET (or 1:00 PM) and each close is the live price, tagged Live.

Table#

Column Meaning
Symbol The ticker. The arrow beside it expands the row.
Account The Schwab account the sale was in.
Shares sold All the day's sells of the symbol in that account. 2 fills beside the number means the sale came in more than one fill; expand the row to see each.
Avg sell Share-weighted average price of the fills.
Proceeds Shares times price, less the sells' fees.
Cost basis Your basis corrections, then known lots matched from your fills. Missing shares may use a broker snapshot average as an explicitly labeled estimate; this is not Schwab's actual selected tax lot. Otherwise unknown. Hover for the source.
Realized, Realized % Proceeds minus cost basis, and that over the basis.
Held days Days held, weighted by shares, across the lots these sells closed.
EOD close The official 4:00 PM close from daily bars. Before the close, the live price, tagged Live.
EOD vs sell (average sell - close) / close: green with an up arrow when you sold above the close.
Left on table Close times shares minus actual gross proceeds, including negative values when you sold above the close. The footer nets positive and negative amounts.
Still held Shares in the account now, from the freshest Schwab positions (Flat at zero); your open lots when the account has no position snapshot after the sale.
Re-buy order A working buy order on the symbol (probe orders excluded): shares, limit and the limit's distance from the current price.

Every column sorts (Shift-click for a second key) and filters from its header or Filter; the view is kept in the URL under sold. keys. The footer totals shares, proceeds, realized and left on table over the rows shown. CSV downloads the rows on screen.

Expanding a row shows each fill (time in New York, shares, price, fees and source; imports carry a date only), and in cents the proceeds, cost basis, realized, where the basis came from, the close and its source, the held-days range, where the shares-still-held figure came from and the re-buy order.

Probe sales#

Sales at or under the probe size (1 share by default, see Probe lots) are left out. The table header says how many were hidden; hover the (i) for the symbols.
