Calendar

The Calendar screen: earnings and ex-dividend dates for your names, US economic releases, and notable earnings for the week.

On this page

Calendar shows the scheduled events that can move your positions over the next two weeks: earnings, ex-dividend dates and US economic releases. It flags held names that report within the earnings call-out window from your strategy rules, so you can decide before the print whether to carry a position through it.

Open it from the nav (under "More" on narrower laptop screens) or press g then c.

The checkboxes above the tables control Exclude past events, Holdings and watchlist, Notable earnings, and US economic releases. Preferences are saved to your account. Past events are excluded by default; notable earnings and US economic releases are off by default. Hidden sections do not fetch their upstream calendars. Uncheck Exclude past events to include recently reported results alongside upcoming events.

How the dates are chosen#

Calendar works on the next 10 weekdays, starting today in New York time. Weekends are skipped. Market holidays are not removed, so a holiday can appear as a day with no events.

The header line reads "Next two weeks", with an (i) naming the data sources. Three figures sit beside it:

  • Held names reporting soon: held names with a company-confirmed earnings date within the earnings call-out window (Earnings call-out (days) in Settings). Estimated dates are not counted.
  • Dates not published: names in the panel below with no upcoming earnings date and no report in the last 10 days.
  • US releases listed: the number of US economic releases shown, up to 12 per day.

Earnings never block a verdict; the call-out only names the date. See /docs/strategy/rules.

Your holdings and watchlist#

This panel covers the names you hold plus the names on your watchlist (up to 40 names in total), over the next 10 trading days, as one table with a row per event. Sort and filter by any column; the view is kept in the URL.

Column Meaning
Symbol Hover for the hover card, click for the research page.
Event Earnings (a company-confirmed date), Est. earnings (the vendor's estimate; hover for the reason behind the date), Ex-dividend (held names, first 20 holdings) or Reported (a report on record in the last 10 days).
Date, Days The event date and the days until it (negative for a report already out).
Time BMO (before market open), AMC (after market close) or TBA.
Holding Held or Watching.
Risk Event risk for a held name with a confirmed report within the earnings call-out window. An estimated date never counts.
Dividend The most recent dividend amount on ex-dividend rows, when the feed provides it.

The panel's About these dates drawer explains event risk (carrying a position overnight through a print is the risk, so resting buys should switch to plain GTC), Est. and Reported. With nothing in the window you see "Nothing scheduled for your names".

How earnings dates are checked#

The vendor (Zacks, through nasdaq.com) publishes one of two kinds of date. A confirmed date is one the company announced: the vendor writes that the company "is expected to report" on that date, usually with before market open or after market close. An estimated date is the vendor's projection from the company's past reporting dates, and the vendor says so. An estimate can be wrong by a week or more, and it can even fall after the company has already reported. In November 2026, for example, Amdocs (DOX) reported on Nov 3 while the vendor still showed an estimated Nov 10.

So Investi never takes the vendor's date on its own. For any date from 7 days ago to 21 days ahead it also checks:

  • The vendor's earnings calendar for that day. A listing with a report time confirms the date. A listing without a time does not, because the calendar repeats the estimate.
  • Reports already on record: the vendor's table of reported quarters, SEC results filings (an 8-K with item 2.02, or for foreign companies such as Amdocs a 6-K that furnishes the results press release) and the vendor's own results article on nasdaq.com.

The rules, in order:

  1. If a report is on record and the vendor's date falls less than 45 days after it, the vendor's date is out of date and is dropped. No company reports two quarters that close together.
  2. A date that has passed with no report on record is dropped too. Investi does not assume the company reported.
  3. Otherwise the date is shown. It is confirmed when the vendor says the company will report or its calendar lists a report time, and estimated in every other case.
  4. With no date left, a name that reported in the last 10 days shows as Reported with that date. Anything else counts as not published.

Only a confirmed date counts as event risk, switches resting buys to plain GTC or appears under "Earnings soon" on Home. An estimated date is still shown, marked Est., so you can check the company's investor relations page.

Unknown earnings dates#

Under the table, Dates not published names every ticker whose next earnings date the data vendor has not published yet; its (i) says to check the company's investor relations page. An unknown date is never treated as safe: the verdict's Earnings date row shows it as UNKNOWN, though it does not block the verdict. On a research page the same situation shows "Unknown" next to Next earnings.

Note: Watchlist names show a Watching tag and never the Event risk tag, which is reserved for positions you hold. Add names to your watchlist with the Watch button on any research page.

US economic releases#

US events from Nasdaq's economic calendar for the next five weekdays, up to 12 per day, in a sortable, filterable table: Event, Date, Time (Eastern), Actual, Consensus and Previous. With nothing published it reads "No releases published".

Notable earnings this week#

Up to 10 companies per upcoming weekday with a market cap of $20B or more, in one table: Symbol, Date, Time (BMO, AMC or TBA), Market cap and Holding (Held or Not held). Sort or filter by any column, for example Holding to see only names you own.

Data sources#

Earnings and economic calendars come from nasdaq.com (Zacks and vendor data). Reported earnings are also checked against SEC EDGAR filings. Analyst rating changes and embargoed release feeds require licensed data and are not connected, so they are not shown. See /docs/concepts/data-sources.

  • What needs attention on Home also shows "Earnings soon" for held names with a confirmed report within the same earnings call-out window.
  • The research page's Why it matters panel shows the next earnings date and days remaining for each company.
